asians, especially chinese, are inveterate gamblers at heart
.... it's easy to discover the gambler in ourselves ....
mommy just told me the other day about this uncle of mine who was
very much respected during my childhood .... high powered
executive, living in katong when it was the district 10 of the day
...
recently he discovered gambling and lost everything in his life ...
job, house, car, wife, kids, and got himself more than a quarter of
a million into debt to loan sharks (why the fark are these
parasites not stamped out yet anyways ? )
going on a cruise ship, going up to genting, places some sort of
obstacle to the hard core ones, having two in singapore is another
story ....
